Contextual Commands : his section provides a set of command icons depending on what
service a user is working with.
Cloud Service List : It displays a set of services created by the user.
Help : It provides help information.
Avatar Bar : It provides more details about other services. he Previous portal link reviews
more services that are not listed on the main portal directly. On the Avatar bar, users can
ind billing information and support information. Users can also specify the language used
by the Windows Azure Management Portal.
After the Previous portal is opened, it displays with the following sections (Figure 10.4):
Ribbon : his section lists actions one can take based on the element selected in the Navigation
section. For example, when Database is selected in the Navigation pane, the Database sec-
tion in the ribbon becomes active. he buttons such as Create, Drop, and Manage become
available to the database administrator.
Navigation : his section displays diferent types of functionalities provided by Windows
Azure. he main functionalities are listed in the lower half of the Navigation pane. he sub-
areas of the selected main functionality are listed in the upper half of the Navigation pane.
For example, if the Database link is selected in the lower half of the Navigation pane, the
nodes related to Database, such as Subscriptions and database servers under Subscriptions,
appear in the upper half of the Navigation pane.
List : his section lists items based on the selected navigation button. For example, when
Database is selected, a list of databases is displayed in the List section.
Properties : his section displays the properties associated with the selected item in the
Navigation section. For example, when the database server vvzr5w29lp is selected, the prop-
erties of the server are displayed in the properties section.
