EATING OUT
It is not difficult to eat well and inexpensively in
Italy. You can choose from cafés and bars, which
serve a variety of drinks, snacks, and light meals,
osterie and trattorie (small family-run restaurants
that serve local and traditional dishes) and pizzerie
(for pizzas and pasta). If you want a gastronomic
meal in more formal surroundings, you can eat at
more expensive ristorante but you may have to
book in advance at the popular ones.
