In-Depth Information
Long term developmental needs of the metropolitan area require that upgrading of
infrastructure in Epworth be done sooner, rather than later, as the settlement continues
to grow.
Acknowledgements - The data presented and discussed in this paper were collected as
part of the “Harare Urban Groundwater Project” funded by WARFSA and incorporate
work carried out by Mr. Zingoni and Mrs. Gandidzanwa as part of their M.Sc. studies at
the University of Zimbabwe (Zingoni, 2003; Gandidzanwa, 2003). The authors would
like to thank the Epworth Local Board for information and support. Acknowledgement is
also made to Mr. J. Tom, technical assistant in the Department of Geology, University of
Zimbabwe for his help during data collection.
