Countersunk Hole
A countersunk hole has an enlarged V-shaped opening to accommodate fastener below the
level of workpiece surface. To create a countersunk hole, set the hole Form to Counter-
sunk . Type-in values in the Diameter , C-Sink Diameter , and C-Sink Angle boxes. Set
the hole depth and end condition.
Tapered Hole
Tapering is the process of decreasing the hole diameters toward one end. A tapered hole has
a smaller diameter at the bottom. To create a tapered hole, set the hole Form to Tapered .
Next, select the option to define the bottom diameter or top diameter. Type-in a value in the
Diameter box, and then simply enter the taper angle in the Taper Angle box. After defin-
ing the taper, specify the hole depth and end condition.
