viewing monitor an LG 47 LM660S-ZA 3 , 47 Zoll LCD television was used. For
displaying stereoscopic content the TV makes use of passive polarized glasses. For
content play-out two DVS Clipster 4 systems were used in synchronized mode.
6.3.1.2 Setup of Eye Tracking Test
The test setup was built based on the position of the TV. The viewer was placed
within usual viewing distance in front of the display panel. The distance was
slightly varying depending on the viewer
s size and eventually was adjusted
based on the eye tracker calibration results. Figure 6.9 illustrates the used setup.

6.3.1.3 Video Content Used for the Eye Tracking Test
Different clips composed of different content properties (e.g., different genre types,
sports, documentation, and also still scenes) were used and were combined into one
video. The video was rendered in 2D and 3D.
6.3.1.4 Execution of the Eye Tracking Test
The content was presented in 3D as well as in 2D in different viewing sessions.
Twenty five participants were asked to watch the content without any specific
instructions with the exception to follow the calibration points in the calibration
pattern presented as first clip in the beginning of the video presentation.
Recalibration for each participant was performed again if required after the
