In-Depth Information
Fig. 4.16 Results of test 1 for indoor temperature model
was to start performing tests only for this model. More specifically, in this section,
some of the experiments of the eight tests, which were performed to estimate the
unknown parameters of the temperature model are shown. These parameters are:
U w , SHGC, SHGC df ,
,Cd,Cv, c l wind , c h wind and c lim wind . Besides, it is important to
highlight that, although the selected tests have been performed along very different
climate conditions, the graphs shown in this section only represent a part of the total
test. The results obtained from evaluation of each of the tests (not only the part which
is shown in graph, but the whole test) with the statistical indices discussed previously
are shown in Table 4.13 . Finally, the values obtained for the unknown parameters
after the calibration process can be found at the end of Sect. 4.3.3 .

Test 1. Empty room and blind closed . To estimate the unknown parameters
derived from the heat gain due to convection, infiltrations and by means of the
glass with the blind closed , i.e. [ U w , SHGC, SHGC df , c l wind , c h wind , c lim wind ]. The
test was performed under the following conditions: the window and the door of the
room were closed, there was no one in the room, all the electrical appliances were
turned off and the blind was closed. As can be observed in Table 4.13 ,theyare
quite good results with an NMAE smaller than 2% and a MAE equal to 0.05 C.
Moreover, the results obtained along one winter experiment between 14 and 17
January, 2011 can be observed in Fig. 4.16 .
Test 2. Empty room and blind open . To estimate the unknown parameters derived
from the heat gain due to convection, infiltrations and by means of the glass with
the blind open , i.e. [ U w , SHGC, SHGC df , c l wind , c h wind , c lim wind ]. The test was
performed under the following conditions: the window and the door of the room
were closed, there was not anyone in the room, all the electrical appliances were
turned off and the blind was open. The analytical results with an NMAE close to
1% and an MAE equal to 0.06 C can be observed in Table 4.13 and graphical
results obtained for a winter experiment performed between the 21 and 23 January,
2011 are shown in Fig. 4.17 .
Test 3. Empty room and blind in several positions . To validate the unknown
parameters obtained from tests 1 and 2 derived from the heat gain due to convection,
