SELECTION OF S/S TECHNOLOGY
The process of technology selection, evaluation, and optimization is frequently
referred to as “technology screening.” The first step in the technology screening
process is to identify potentially available technologies. Many treatment/remediation
technologies are only suitable for certain types of wastes. A treatment technology
that has been properly screened prior to full-scale implementation has the highest
probability of success in the field. The topic by LaGrega et al. discusses a variety
of treatment/remediation technologies.
