Little Cayman Beach Resort
Set on the south coast, this
resort was enlarged and r enovated in 2008. I t's close to many of the
island's diving and spor ting attractions, including the S outh H ole
Sound Lagoon's bonefishing. I t's popular with anglers, div ers, bird-
watchers, and adventurous types. The hotel lies only 1.5km (1 mile)
from the Edward Bodden Airport and it has a white sand beach fring-
ing a shallow, reef-protected bay. It is divided into three pastel, coral-
colored, two-stor y buildings with gingerbr ead trim. The most
desirable units are the 12 oceanfront rooms. Each unit has a harmoni-
ous color scheme and an inviting, air y atmospher e. The r esort has
been much impr oved, with a superior div e shop and a collection of
Hobie cats and kayaks.

This cottage, located about
1.6km (1 mile) fr om the airpor t, is the type of hideaway wher e you
could write the gr eat American no vel. The cottage is set among sea-
grape and swaying palm tr ees, with a vie w of a white sand beach—a
cliché of Caribbean charm and style. You can spend the entir e day
lying in the hammock or you can actively pursue various watersports.
Six people ar e accommodated comfor tably in the single one-floor
villa, which has tiled floors and rattan furnishings. The two midsiz e
bedrooms are furnished in a light, breezy style. Bedroom areas feature
two twin beds, a king-siz e bed, and a conv ertible queen-size couch.
The cottage also has a living and dining ar ea and a fully equipped
kitchen with a scr eened por ch, plus a grill for barbecuing and two
bicycles.
