The speed limit for the whole island is 40kmph (25 mph). The
only places to get fuel ar e near McLaughlin and on the nor th side of
the island at S am McCoy's. Since the cars ar e not four-wheel-driv e,
avoid driving on soft sands.
Bicycles
Little Cayman is too small to suppor t a bike r ental shop. The good
news is that most of the hotels and little guesthouses will either lend
you one (most often the case) or rent you one. There's little traffic, the
land is flat, and it's relatively easy to cycle along the paved roads. Just
avoid the East E nd; the unpav ed r oads her e cause a v ery bumpy,
uncomfortable ride. Drifting sand is also a menace.
