of A horizon; if a histic A horizon is present, it is less than 40 cm. They lack diagnostic characteristics
of Vertissolos, Chernossolos, Plintossolos, or Gleissolos.
This class includes mainly those soils that have been previously identiÝed as Cambissolos
Eutr–Ýcos, Distr–Ýcos e ælicos all Ta and Tb, except those with chernozemic A horizon and
eutrophic cambic B with high-activity clay.
The geographical distribution of this soil class secluded from the 1:5,000,000 scale of the
Brazilian soil map is shown in Figure 11.10. It comprises 229,822 km
corresponding to 2.7% of

the country.
