Elan Valley Cottages The Elan Valley Trust has three cottages in the area.
The most attractive is the Llannerch y Cawr Longhouse overlooking the Dôl y Myn-
ach reservoir. It's Grade II listed and dates back to the 16th century, when it would
have housed people in one end and cattle in the other. Subtly restored, it still has
original features such as the stone flooring, spiral staircase, and wooden beams. It is
divided into two sections, one sleeping six, the other four.
