Marlowe's Restaurant CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH The place to come for
olde English atmosphere—the large bar, with a fireplace blazing with logs in winter,
opens onto a splendid oak-paneled room, and in summer there is a spacious courtyard
for alfresco dining. The food is also pretty good; start with seared scallops or chicken
livers flambéed in masala cream, and continue with one of the chargrilled dishes such
as a filet steak with pan-fried mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. Drunken duck has
been a long-time specialty here: It's marinated in gin, red wine, and juniper berries
before it's roasted in the oven.

hours of food service. Guests can enjoy its pub atmosphere, ground-floor restaurant,

brewery Purity). Dishes utilize fresh produce, including ethically sourced Guatema-
lan coffee, and free-range pork, chicken, eggs, and high-quality beef, sourced from
Leamington Spa butcher Aubrey Allen. Grab a sandwich; a classic bar meal such as
ham, egg and chips; or the Deli Board, featuring all sorts of antipasti and charcuterie
such as mustard sausages and marinated anchovies. Among the most enticing main
