Ebrington Arms GASTROPUB One of the best pubs in the Cotswolds,
Ebrington Arms is 2 miles from Chipping Campden and best known for exceptional
English food. The menu includes twists on traditional classics—ploughman's platter
and a fine fish and chips—but also roasted guinea fowl, Cornish plaice, and Glouces-
tershire Old Spot pork. Save room for the glazed rice pudding, or addictive marma-
lade bread and butter pudding. They also offer three cozy rooms (£110-£130)
upstairs, including breakfast.

The Kings Hotel The Kings is a solid 18th-century pub and restaurant choice
in the heart of Chipping Campden. It's also another pub that doubles as a wonder-
fully atmospheric hotel, with 14 stylish rooms in the main house, and five cottage
rooms that offer a little more space and luxury. When it comes to eating, the Kings
boasts the best bar snacks in town, as well as real ales including local Hook Norton.
Artfully prepared modern British food features at the main restaurant and the more
informal brasserie. Expect dishes such as monkfish, saffron, razor clam, and shrimp
chowder, with violet gnocchi; and duo of mallard and partridge breasts, with pommes
fondant.

Seagrave Arms The Seagrave is an inviting country inn and restaurant with
six en-suite guest rooms. The sensitively restored Georgian house features open log
fires in winter and a sheltered courtyard for alfresco dining in the summer. Rooms are
simple but comfy, and the contemporary English food is the real star: Locally sourced
produce accompanies award-winning real ales from local breweries Hook Norton,
Cotswold, and Purity, and even a Gloucestershire wine. Expect dishes such as roasted
wild mallard with marrow, pear, and vanilla purée, and lemon curd cheesecake (main
courses £11-£17).
