Stepping Out in Cornwall
The South West Coast Path (www.south
westcoastpath.com), Britain's longest
national marked trail, runs for 630 miles,
from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in
Dorset. It encompasses the length of the
Cornish coast and is challenging in
places but also offers easier exhilarating
walks. The Saints' Way runs 30 miles
from coast to coast, from Padstow in the
north to Fowey in the south. Route cards
are available from Boscastle Visitor Cen-
tre ( &   01840/250010 ). A circular walk,
the Copper Trail (www.ldwa.org.uk),
runs for 60 miles along footpaths and
tracks around the Moor, past many
ancient sites.

The ethos of Fifteen is to offer disadvantaged young people the chance to train in

sine is Italian with a Cornish twist, and dishes might include pasta with cavalo
nero pesto, or filet of beef in lardo di Colonnata with borlotti beans. In the evening
there is a six-course tasting menu, while they also serve breakfasts—very popular with
