Cornish Range SEAFOOD This former pilchard factory in Mousehole has
plenty of character and makes a great base for exploring the area. Even if you're not
staying here, its popular restaurant, which focuses on seafood, is one of the best in
the area. Dishes that feature locally caught fish might include mussels with white
wine as a starter, then saffron roasted hake or Goan seafood curry as a main course.
Vegetarians aren't neglected, with choices such as wild mushroom risotto. There are
also three comfortable bedrooms (£80-£110 double with TV), each attractively
furnished with a private bathroom and king-size bed.

Ennys Run by the amiable and welcoming Gill Charlton, Ennys is a luxury

relaxed bistro is justifiably acclaimed for its modern British cuisine and pleasant staff.
The daily changing menu features fresh local produce, and dishes range from Cornish
steak with hand-cut chips to pan-fried mackerel with beetroot. Imaginative vegetarian
dishes are always available. It's great for lunch and for dinner, and the neat little
courtyard garden is a delight on fine days. There's a stylish self-catering apartment,
“The Boat Watch,” upstairs, with two double bedrooms, furnished in contemporary
style (£80 per night or £275-£675 per week).
