Another useful tool to monitor the core performance counters is
Resource
Monitor
,
which can be found as a shortcut in
Administrative
Tools
or by clicking on the
Open
Resource Monitor
button in the
Performance
tab of
Task
Manager
. The following

As well as giving us a concise view of the most important performance counters on
a server, for each type of resource (
Memory
,
CPU
, and
I/O
, which is divided into
Disk
and
Network
), we can drill down into the details of each process' resource
consumption, as shown in the following screenshot:
