The front door, if you gain entry, has elephant-trunk handles, there
are zebra hides everywhere, and the big game is celebrity-spotting.
The DJ's spin energetic house music to keep the hordes moving, but
you might be better off sampling one of the club's excellent cocktails
in the “premium seating lounge.” God knows what it takes to get a

Cielo At Cielo you'll find the best sound system of any small club
in town. House is big here and they bring in some of the best DJs
from around the globe. The renowned Louis Vega is the DJ on
Wednesday. There's a sunken dance floor and an authentic, glittering
disco ball rotating above. What more could you want? 18 Little W. 12th

Club Shelter House-heads flock to this old-school disco. The big
draw is the “Saturday Night Shelter Party,” when late-1980s house
music takes over. The crowd is racially and sexually diverse and dress
is not fancy; wear whatever is comfortable for doing some heavy

Mansion Located in the old Crobar space and after a million-dol-
lar renovation, this club, with a sister in Miami, opened in early
2008. The dance floor is small (meaning intimate) and the music
booms with a Euro beat until 4 a.m. At press time the buzz was
white hot but we know the dance crowd is fickle and that heat could

Pacha No, you are not on exotic Ibiza, but in Hell's Kitchen, New
York. But enter Pacha and wade through the club's four levels, mar-
vel at the palm trees, ogle discreetly the bikini-clad gogo girls danc-
ing in the red-lit showers and you'll for a few hours be transported
