Source : Adapted from Tourism Research Australia (2010, 2011)
Industries stocked 35,000 Murray cod fingerlings in the Goulburn River in
September 2011 to try to encourage tourists back to enjoy the recreational
fishing (Department of Primary Industries, 2011) since it is still facing dif-
ficulties.
Various factors could have affected other regions in the state of Victoria
over the past few years, given the severity of the bushfires across the state in
early 2009. Families whose homes were lost in the fires would not have been
in a position to host friends and family for some time.
