Disabling hostname verification for the Administration
Server and the Managed Servers
This step is required if you have not set up the appropriate certificates to authen-
ticate the different nodes with the Administration Server. If you have not con-
figured the server certificates, then you will receive errors when managing the
different WebLogic Servers using Node Manager, which starts in the
secure
mode by default.
Perform the following steps to disable host name verification:
1.
Log in to the WebLogic Server Administration console.
2.
In the
Domain Structure
pane, expand the
Environment
node, and then
click on
Servers
.
3.
Click on
AdminServer(admin)
in the
Server
table. The
Settings for Ad-
minServer
page appears.
4.
Click on the
SSL
tab and the
Advanced
link.
5.
Set
Hostname Verification
to
None
.
6.
Click on
Save
.
7.
Repeat
steps 3
to
6
for the
WLS_WSM1
and the
WLS_WSM2
server.
8.
Save and activate the changes. You have to restart the Administration Server
and all Managed Servers to make the change take effect.
