Configuring
a
WebLogic
Server
domain for BAM HA
Before you start configuring a WebLogic Server domain for BAM HA, you need
to first install Oracle Fusion Middleware Home that hosts the Oracle WebLogic
Server and Oracle SOA Suite. To achieve maximum availability, it is highly re-
commended to use the redundant binary installations on a shared storage. For
example, the first Fusion Middleware Home is installed in SHARED_DISK_BASE/
product/fmw1 , and the other redundant home is in SHARED_DISK_BASE/
product/fmw2 .
Install the following Oracle Fusion Middleware components on bamhost1 and
bamhost2:
Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.4
Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0
After installation, it is recommended to stop all the servers, and then back up the
entire Fusion Middleware home directory as follows:
bamhost1> tar -cvf fmwbackup.tar MW_HOME
Configuring a WebLogic Server base domain
Run the Configuration Wizard from the SOA home directory to create a base
domain that contains the Administration Server and the Managed Servers for the
Web Services Manager.
The base domain architecture is shown in the following diagram:
