ing into the BAM server-side problems, you need to focus on analyzing potential
networking or client-side issues.
Identifying Active Data processing issues
The Activity Message Rates (per sec) metric can be used to analyze the Active
Data processing issues.
Let's take a look at an example. Assume that the problem is that a BAM report
stops refreshing Active Data in a browser. Let's see how you can use the Activ-
ity Message Rates (per sec) metric to analyze this issue.
If the activity message rates are high, then it is very likely that the report server
has successfully processed Active Data. In this case, you should look at the
IE browser to figure out whether it has successfully received or processed
ChangeLists (Active Data payload).
If the figures are low, then you can rule out the client-side problem, as the metric
indicates the ChangeLists may not arrive in the report server in the first place.
In this case, you should analyze other BAM server-side components, such as
Active Data Cache and Report Cache, to further break down the problems.
