. Now, you should have a master View and a detail
View. Click on one row in the master View, and the detail view should change
accordingly.
Apart from driving, you can also use the
drilling
function to add interactions
between different views. Drilling allows users to drill through the same View
based on hierarchies, or drill across a different view by passing parameters.
When driving is enabled, both participating views are visible. However, when
drilling across is configured, only one view (either the original view or the destin-
ation view) is displayed, as one view replaces another when rendering.
To enable driving, the detail report must have prompts/para-
meters defined in the filter. For the master report, you can only
define driving or drilling, but not both. If drilling is enabled, it
will override the driving configuration.
