South Beach
o
Room
BAR
The Room's a gem: a crowded, dimly lit boutique beer bar where you can guzzle the best
(brew) Miami has to offer and gawk at the best (hotties) South Beach has to show off. It's
hip as hell, but the attitude is as low-key as the sexy mood lighting. Just beware, it gets
crowded and it can be tough to find seats as the night goes on.
Kill Your Idol
BAR
Kill Your Idol is a self-conscious dive that aims snooty condescension at South Beach's
celebrity scene with one hand (see: the name of the place) while sipping a PBR with the
other. Precocious? But it does have sweet postmodern art, graffiti and undeniably cute hip-
sters, and it's adjoined to that most unselfconscious of dives,
Lost Weekend

Abbey Brewery
BAR
The only brewpub in South Beach is on the untouristed end of South Beach (near Alton
Rd). It's friendly and packed with folks listening to the Grateful Dead and slinging back
some excellent home brew: give Father Theo's stout or the Immaculate IPA a shot.
Ted's Hideaway
SPORTS BAR
Somewhere in the Florida panhandle is a bumpin', fabulous gay club, which clearly
switched places with Ted's, a no-nonsense, pool-table and sports-showin' 'lounge' smack
in the middle of SoFi's elegance.
