In-Depth Information
Sometimes you need simple Latin American fare that's a cut above the average fried-
plantains diner. Enter Fiorito, an excellent Argentine steakhouse that will fill your stomach
way before it empties your wallet. Pastas, steaks, braised pork and some gorgeous hand-
cut fries had us rolling happily out the door. Grab some excellent empanadas on the way
out.

Mandolin doesn't just provide good Greek food - although that is present in the form of
fresh fish grilled in lemon and olive oil, tomato and Turkish chorizo sandwiches and light
mezes such as smoked eggplant and creamy yogurt. What Mandolin also provides is excel-
lent Greek atmosphere. It's all Aegean whites and blues, colors that come to life under the
strong, melting Miami sun, especially if you sit in the back courtyard, shaded by the same
trees that stretch over the surrounding Buena Vista neighborhood.
Harry's Pizzeria PIZZERIA
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; % 786-275-4963; 3918 North Miami Ave; pizzas $15; h 11:30am-11pm Mon-
Thu, to midnight Fri & Sat, to 10pm Sun; v )
A stripped-down yet sumptuous dining experience awaits (pizza) pie lovers in Midtown.
Harry's tiny kitchen and dining room dishes out deceptively simple wood-fired pizzas that
are a perfect date meal; we're big fans of the braised fennel pie. Look out for nonpizza
daily specials such as Friday's oven-roasted local fish.
Lost & Found Saloon MEXICAN
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; % 305-576-1008; www.thelostandfoundsaloon-miami.com ; 185 NW 36th St;
mains $10-17; h 11am-3am; v )
The service is as friendly as the omelets and burritos are awesome (which is to say, very)
at this little Wynwood spot, the sort of saloon where microbrews are on tap and the wine
list reads like a year abroad. Come the evening, this turns into a fun hipster kind of bar.
