Disneyland and DCA's FASTPASS system can significantly cut your wait times on many of
the most popular rides and attractions.
At FASTPASS ticket machines - located near entrances to select rides - insert your
park entrance ticket. You'll receive an additional ticket showing a return time.
Show up within the window of time on the ticket and join the ride's FASTPASS line.
There'll still be a wait, but it's shorter (typically 15 minutes or less). Hang on to your
FASTPASS ticket until you board the ride.
If you miss the time window printed on your FASTPASS ticket, you can still try joining
the FASTPASS line.
Disneyland Park
It's hard to deny the change in atmosphere as you're whisked by tram from the parking lot
into the heart of the resort and wide-eyed children lean forward with anticipation. This is
their park, but adults who can willingly suspend disbelief may well also give in to the 'ma-
gic of Disney'; Uncle Walt's taken care of every detail.

Fashioned after Walt's hometown of Marceline, Missouri, bustling Main Street, USA re-
sembles the classic turn-of-the-20th-century all-American town. It's an idyllic, relentlessly
upbeat representation, complete with barbershop quartet, penny arcades, ice-cream shops
and a steam train. The music playing in the background is from American musicals, and
there's a flag-retreat ceremony every afternoon.
