GAY & LESBIAN LOS ANGELES
LA is one of the country's gayest cities (the city has made a number of contributions to
gay culture), and the rainbow flag flies especially proudly in Boystown, along Santa Mon-
ica Blvd in West Hollywood (WeHo). Thursday through Sunday nights are prime time.
If nightlife isn't your scene, there are plenty of other ways to meet, greet and engage.

Once a humble coffeehouse, the Abbey has developed into WeHo's bar/club/restaurant
of record. Always cool and fun, it has so many different-flavored martinis and mojitos that
you'd think they were invented here. It also has a full menu. Match your mood to the many
different spaces, from outdoor patio to goth lounge to chill room. On weekends they're all
busy.
