MTD's electric Downtown Shuttle buses run along State St down to Stearns Wharf every
10 to 30 minutes from 9am to 6pm daily. A second Waterfront Shuttle travels from Stearns
Wharf west to the harbor and east to the zoo every 15 to 30 minutes from 9am or 10am to
6pm daily. Between late May and early September, both routes also run every 15 minutes
from 6pm to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The fare is 50ยข per ride; transfers between
routes are free.
Lil' Toot water taxi provides an ecofriendly, biodiesel-fueled ride between Stearns
Wharf and the harbor, docking in front of the maritime museum. Look for ticket booths on
the waterfront. Trips run every half-hour, weather permitting.
For bicycle rentals, Wheel Fun Rentals has two locations by Stearns Wharf. Downtown,
Pedego rents electric bicycles (per hour/day from $16/70) and pedal-it-yourself models
(from $10/40).
Taxis are metered around $3 at flagfall, with an additional $3 to $4 for each mile. Call
Yellow Cab.
Downtown street parking or in any of a dozen municipal lots is free for the first 75
minutes; each additional hour costs $1.50.
