to LA ($31, three hours) via Carpinteria, Ventura and Burbank's airport, and north to San
Luis Obispo ($27, 2¾ hours) and Oakland ($82, 8¾ hours), with stops in Paso Robles,
Salinas and San Jose.
Greyhound ( GOOGLE MAP ; 800-231-2222, 805-965-7551; www.greyhound.com ; 224 Chap-
ala St) operates a few buses daily to LA ($15, three hours), San Luis Obispo ($28, 2¼
hours), Santa Cruz ($53, six hours) and San Francisco ($57, nine hours).
Vista ( 800-438-1112; www.goventura.org ) runs frequent daily 'Coastal Express' buses to
Carpinteria ($3, 20 to 30 minutes) and Ventura ($3, 40 to 70 minutes); check online or call
for schedules.
If you're driving on Hwy 101, take the Garden St or Carrillo St exits for downtown.
