Hiking
Gorgeous day hikes await in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains and elsewhere in
the Los Padres National Forest. Most trails cut through rugged chaparral and steep
canyons - sweat it out and savor jaw-dropping coastal views. Spring and fall are the best
seasons for hiking, when temperatures are moderate. Always carry plenty of extra water
and watch out for poison oak.
