Pismo Beach has dozens of motels, but rooms fill up quickly and prices skyrocket in sum-
mer, especially on weekends. Resorts and hotels roost on cliffs north of town via Price St
and Shell Beach Rd, while motels cluster near the beach and along Hwy 101.

About a mile south of downtown, off Hwy 1, the state park's North Beach Campground is
shaded by eucalyptus trees and has more than 170 well-spaced, grassy sites with fire pits.
The campground offers easy beach access, flush toilets and coin-op hot showers.
