is usually open to the public on many Saturday nights between April and
October, starting at 8pm or 8:30pm. Afternoon solar viewing happens monthly between
March and October. It's about 11 miles south of town.

A pretty, but primitive 25-site campground with vault toilets (no water) is shaded by oak
trees on a hilltop with distant views of Monterey Bay.
Eating
On 3rd St, you'll find a long line-up of Mexican American restaurants; none are especially
memorable.

Get there early for fresh loaves of cinnamon bread, hot-cross buns and guava or apricot
turnovers, as they often sell out.
