Ma(i)sonry occupies a free-to-browse 1904 stone house and garden, transformed into a
fussy winery-collective and gallery of overpriced rustic-modern meubles and art, some
quite cool. Wine-tasting (by reservation) ranges from $25 to $45.
Napa Valley Museum MUSEUM

fornia Drive; adult/child $5/2.50; 10am-5pm Wed-Mon)
Yountville's modernist 40,000-sq-ft museum chronicles cultural history and showcases
local paintings. Good picnicking outside. From town, it's across Hwy 29.
FLYING & BALLOONING
Wine Country is stunning from the air - a multihued tapestry of undulating hills, deep val-
leys and rambling vineyards. Make reservations.
The Vintage Aircraft Company ( MAP GOOGLE MAP ; 707-938-2444;
www.vintageaircraft.com ; 23982 Arnold Dr, Sonoma) flies over Sonoma in a vintage biplane with
an awesome pilot who'll do loop-de-loops on request (add $50). Twenty-minute tours
cost $175/260 for one/two adults.
Napa Valley's signature hot-air balloon flights leave early, around 6am or 7am, when
the air is coolest; they usually include a champagne breakfast on landing. Adults pay
about $200 to $250, and kids $150 to $175. Call Balloons above the Valley (
800-464-6824, 707-253-2222; www.balloonrides.com ) or Napa Valley Balloons (
800-253-2224, 707-944-0228; www.napavalleyballoons.com ), both in Yountville.
