PINBALL WIZARDS, UNITE!
Put down that video game console, cast aside your latest phone app, and return to the by-
gone days of pinball play. Lose yourself in bells and flashing lights at Pacific Pinball Mu-

7.50; 2-9pm Tue-Thu, to midnight Fri, 11am-midnight Sat, to 9pm Sun; ), a pinball parlor with
almost 100 games dating from the 1930s to the present, and vintage jukeboxes playing
hits from the past. Take AC Transit bus 51A from downtown Oakland.
Entertainment
A monthly street festival, Oakland First Fridays ( www.oaklandfirstfridays.org ) takes place
between 5pm and 9pm on the first Friday of the month. Telegraph Ave between 27th St
and W Grand Ave closes to car traffic, with thousands turning out for food vendors, live
music and performances. There's a concurrent gallery-hop called Oakland Art Murmur
( www.oaklandartmurmur.com ; 6-9pm) , which also coordinates a more low-key Saturday
Stroll in the afternoons every week.
