Originally opened as a roadside stop in 1932, the Buckeye is a Marin County gem, and its
upscale American cuisine is in no danger of being compared to truck-stop fare. Stop off
for chili-lime 'brick' chicken, baby back ribs or oysters Bingo and a devilish wedge of
s'more pie before getting back on Hwy 101.

With 60 bottled varieties of brew and a few of its own (from the Fort Point Brewing Com-
pany in San Francisco) amongst the dozen or so on tap, beer lovers can pair their favorites
with the kitchen's delicious farm-to-table cuisine. The unsigned setting is stark and stylish,
with unfinished wood tables and a pressed-tin wall.
