most popular hiking and cycling destinations. As the trails wind through the headlands,
they afford stunning views of the sea, the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, leading
to isolated beaches and secluded spots for picnics.
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE TOLL
The bridge toll ($7) crossing from Marin to San Francisco is now all electronic; drivers can
no longer stop to pay. Rental-car drivers may use their car company's toll program or pay
in advance online, and motorists in private vehicles are billed by mail if they haven't pre-

Sights
After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, exit immediately at Alexander Ave, then dip left
under the highway and head out west for the expansive views and hiking trailheads.
Conzelman Rd snakes up into the hills, where it eventually forks. Conzelman Rd continues
west, becoming a steep, one-lane road as it descends to Point Bonita. From here it contin-
ues to Rodeo Beach and Fort Barry. McCullough Rd heads inland, joining Bunker Rd to-
ward Rodeo Beach.
Hawk Hill HILL

About 2 miles along Conzelman Rd is Hawk Hill, where thousands of migrating birds of
prey soar along the cliffs from late summer to early fall.
Point Bonita Lighthouse LIGHTHOUSE

At the end of Conzelman Rd, this lighthouse is a breathtaking half-mile walk from a small
parking area. From the tip of Point Bonita, you can see the distant Golden Gate Bridge and
beyond it the San Francisco skyline. It's an uncommon vantage point of the bay-centric
