Eating & Drinking
All the hotels mentioned have quite decent restaurants. In town, State St is Carlsbad's most
charming stretch, with a number of restaurants worth browsing. Nearby are branches of the
brew pub Pizza Port and Mexican fave Las Olas ( MAP GOOGLE MAP ;

2939 Carlsbad Blvd) .
Vigilucci's Cucina Italiana ITALIAN
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ;

Enjoy the white-tablecloth service and the lovely sidewalk terrace at this State St institu-
tion. For lunch try pastas or panini (the one with parma ham and portobello mushrooms is
a fave), while dinner might be pappardelle with field mushrooms and seared diver scallops
in white truffle and brandy cream sauce.
Relm WINE BAR
( MAP GOOGLE MAP ;

from 4pm Tue-
Sun)
This cozy, modernist storefront pours from over 60 bottles (wine flights $12) and serves
cheeseboards and flatbreads to go with them. When it has live music, it's irresistable.
