Getting There & Away
AIR
San Diego International Airport-Lindbergh Field sits just 3 miles west of downtown. All
major US airlines serve San Diego, plus Air Canada, British Airways, Japan Airlines,
Mexico's Volaris and the Canadian carrier WestJet.
BUS
Greyhound ( GOOGLE MAP ; 619-515-1100, 800-231-2222; www.greyhound.com ; 1313 National
Ave) serves San Diego from cities across North America from its new location in East Vil-
lage. Many discounts and special fares are available only online.
Buses depart frequently for LA (one-way/round-trip $18/36, 2½ to four hours) and sev-
eral daily to Anaheim ($18/36, about 2¼ hours).
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
Allow two hours from LA in non-peak traffic. With traffic, it's anybody's guess.
TRAIN
Amtrak ( GOOGLE MAP ; 800-872-7245; www.amtrak.com ) runs the Pacific Surfliner sever-
al times daily to Anaheim ($28, two hours), Los Angeles ($37, 2¾ hours) and Santa Bar-
bara ($42, 6½ hours) from the historic Union Station (Santa Fe Depot; 1055 Kettner Blvd) .
