One of San Diego's most authentic English ale houses, Shakespeare is the place for darts,
soccer by satellite, beer on tap and pub grub, including fish and chips, and bangers and
mash. On weekends, load up with a British breakfast: bacon, mushrooms, black and white
pudding and more. One thing they don't have in Britain: a great sundeck.

This pair of restaurants serves seafood and chowders with views of the tall
ships on the harbor. The sit-down Grotto has an old-style nautical theme (ahoy, mateys!),
while the counter at the Fishette serves a more limited menu (think fish and chips or sand-
wiches) that you eat out on the deck.
