Laguna's most romantic B&B is built around a historic 1920s Mission Revival house sur-
rounded by flowering gardens. Smallish rooms include those inside former artists' bunga-
lows from the 1930s and '40s. All have fluffy beds and some have Jacuzzis. There's also a
full chef-prepared breakfast made with local, organic ingredients and evening wine-and-
cheese reception. Some pets OK (fee $25).

this renovated 36-room courtyard inn. From the big earth-tone pillows and hardwood

walk cafe. Taco, quesadilla and nacho options seem endless: blackened calamari or tofu,

brownies. Order at the counter, dude.
