12.3.1 Description of the prototype buildings

Figure 12.7 shows a 42-story residential prototype building located in Los
Angeles, California. Also indicated in Fig. 12.7 are the orientation, fl oor
dimension, and major principal axes of the building. This building is used
as one of the prototype model within the PEER Tall Building Initiative
