Figure 7.15 shows settlements in the larger band for benchmarks outside the
reservoir. A comparison of the settlements in Figures 7.14 and 7.15 shows that the
surface lowering does not increase with distance from the reservoir but reaches a
maximum at the border of the reservoir.

Areas farther away, where the influence of other reservoirs or unauthorized
water extraction is felt (Afonsine to the left, and Angela Angelina and the shoreline
to the right), are excluded from this observation, i.e. we limit our consideration to
the local behavior over and around the reservoir.
The subsidence isolines for the periods 1982-1986, 1982-1992 and 1982-1998
obtained through interpolation of the above data are shown in Figures 7.16, 7.17 and
7.18.
