Polk Gulch pleases out-of-towners and straight folk alike. Many think it's the best
gay bar in America in terms of festive fun. Perhaps it's the free Ms. Pac-Man
machine. There's a vibrant, neighborhood feel, a diverse crowd, a strong pour,
parties during every holiday, and both pool tournaments and over-the-top drag
shows (Fri are for an award-winning one called
Anna Conda
).
Lexington Club

is a friendly lesbian bar in the Mission. The energy is homey,
and there's not just pool but also frequent strip action.
