Using Co 2 Rh 2 nanoparticles as the catalyst, aldehydes proved to be effective, but 2-
pyridylmethyl formate was not (Scheme 9.13). Among the aldehydes,
-unsaturated
aldehydes such as cinnamaldehyde, crotonaldehyde and acrolein gave good results. The
reusability test of the catalytic system showed that the catalytic activity was retained for at
least five runs.
