If you grow many of the wonderful Chinese vegetables in this topic, your neighbors will
be very confused; they won't be able to tell your vegetable garden from your flower
garden. Also known as shungiku or edible chrysanthemum, this plant is a true chrysan-
themum, with recognizable chrysanthemum flowers. Only you will know that it's also a
superb vegetable. (Don't rush to nibble at your flower-bed chrysanthemums, however;
you'll find them much too bitter.)
