This Asian green is sometimes called Chinese potherb mustard or Japanese salad
green. In California, you may occasionally encounter it under the name California pep-
pergrass, but this is a misnomer since it's not related to peppergrass and is not at all
peppery. Although a member of the Mustard family, it lacks the pungency of either the
common or Chinese mustards.
