Hang plant upside down in a paper bag so that seeds can fall to the bottom as they mature and dry.
CULINARY USES
Each sesame plant produces an enormous quantity of seeds so you can easily grow
enough for a year's use from just a small sowing. You'll save money, too, because ses-
ame seeds are expensive unless you buy them in bulk. The seeds are delicious both raw
and toasted. (It isn't necessary to toast seeds on dishes that will be baked since they
will be toasted in the cooking process.) When you become familiar with their taste,
you'll invent ways to include them in everyday recipes. Here are some suggestions for
use:
• They are an excellent snack.
• Use as a garnish for salads.
