Many gardeners don't appreciate the versatility of radishes. You can eat them at
various stages of maturity, starting with the thinnings. Even the leaves can be eaten be-
fore the roots form or when the roots are barely showing their shape. If you tire of them,
you can even let plants go to seed and eat the pods and the seeds.
Appearance
There is great variety among Asian radishes, from round, to long and tapered, to short
and blunt-ended, and with colors ranging from pure white to rose pink, purple, and
