In-Depth Information
Daylilies are native to Asia, even though in many parts of the eastern United States
the countryside lights up with these beautiful flowers in summer. Daylilies have ac-
climated themselves so successfully that they form large masses wherever they're al-
lowed to grow. Since they tolerate almost any soil and grow in many parts of the United
States, you probably know someone who has them on his or her property. If so, trans-
plant some to your own property or terrace.
Once planted, a bed of daylilies will increase each year. No matter how many you
eat, there will soon be more than you can use. The clumps can be easily divided to be
planted elsewhere.
