CONCLUSION
Khiva, pearl of Khorezm in its heydays and the open-air museum today, is
worth visiting because of its ancient city atmosphere where time is felt fro-
zen. You can still take refuge of the burning sun to the shadows of the old
city walls, stride through Khiva hans' palace courtyards, feel as a middle
age student studying in the madrasahs, pray in ancient mosques among
wooden columns and on top of blue-tiled minars.
