Other miscellaneous techniques which have found very limited applications in the
determination of anions in waters include the following:
• X-ray spectrometry, bromide
• Neutron activation analysis, bromide and iodide
• Photoactivation analysis, fluoride
• Cavity analysis, sulphate
• Emission spectrometry, sulphate
• X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, bromide, chloride, iodide, phosphate, selenate and
selenite
• Ion sensing optrodes, iodide.
